Wow! What a COOL movie!
Everytime you see Steve McQueen, you know this guy knows what he's doing. He just breezes through this part.
I heard somewhere they were going to get Brad Pitt to re-do this movie. Can you see that? Maybe. Quite possible. I mean, they already have the retro 'Stang so maybe they attach a big name to it and make it believable. But then again, some classics should be left entirely alone because then they start with the overkill of the character. Like "Rocky 61". I mean, come on! Some things just aren't that necessary.
But while it is here, you might want to check this movie out and with the cool soundtrack composed by Lalo Schrifrin that just fits to this movie smoothly, you will see that this is really a great movie to have in your collection.

I remember me and my brother were talking about this movie. I asked him if you were to do this movie again, you as the director, who would you cast as today's actors for specific parts? Right off the top, without skipping a beat he says, 'I would cast Justin Timberlake as Maggot'.' Hahaha. I thought that was hilarious! I don't know why he said him.
A real classic. This was one of those 'all-star cast' movies that really surprises you with how great the acting is because you come from the very beginning of where and how they became the Dirty Dozen.
Sometimes when I think about this movie, I try to make connections like why a dozen and not just 6? Why the army and not the air force? But whatever the connection to what anything could mean, this is really one great movie you won't want to miss.

What I remember about this movie was when my older brother Michael took me to see this movie. I'll never forget the impact this movie made on me at the time I saw it (Does covering my eyes count?). I also remember being FREAKED OUT for years and you could NEVER get me to see this movie or 'Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang' ( I was FREAKED OUT by Dick Van Dyke).
So years ago I decided to confront my fears and purchase this disc. Now was it necessarily the Top 10 of things I wanted to conquer (Fear of horror movies)? Maybe. So I thought, okay.
I'm STILL FREAKED OUT!
If you TRULY like to see something weird as the video implies, this will be a special treat for you.
I only played it ONCE and I BARELY was able to watch it. But you might enjoy it because it is a cult classic somewhere.
Trivia: The Crimson Executioner was Mariska Hargitay's father. I wonder if she remembers this movie? Well, if she doesn't, you will.
